André Maaß visits LISHA
In November 2002, André Maaß visited LISHA with the following
goals:
- Requirement analysis to integrate parts of the PURE
system into the EPOS system and vice versa
At first the existing process model of EPOS as well as the
communication framework of EPOS was exposed a profound analysis.
Thereby the striking differences and existing commonalities to the
PURE system were compiled. To allow the integration of the
high-performance process subsystem of PURE in the EPOS
run-time environment was the goal of analysis. Furthermore the
analysis opened vice versa the completion of the PURE
communication system with components of the EPOS communication
framework.
- Know-how exchange on configurable software components
It is necessary to povide applications of deeply embedded systems the
functionality, wich they defacto need. Out of it, it results in the
necessity to lay out system components configurable. Because the
partners have different strategies with reference to configuration of
software modules and software components, it was explained
the mutual points of view in discussions. It arose form these
discussions new aspects of configuration for the operating systems
famile PURE one the one hand and one the other hand there were
offered to partner new points of view in the range of configuration.
- Integration of a framework for the deployment of network
drivers in the operating system familie PURE
On the base of master thesies a framework for deployment
of different network drivers was integrated in the operating system
familie PURE. Thereby the familie got a common network driver
interface to implement variably network architectures. Consequently
the basis for high-performance communication system was lied, which
needs a standardised interface and is network independent. The
communication framework of EPOS would be such a communication
system to extend the PURE system.
